What Planmit Photos is
Planmit Photos is a photo record tool for construction companies. A company's administrator creates accounts for its own people. Field staff take or choose photos on their phone and upload them to a project; project managers review and download them on the web. There is no public sign-up, no advertising and no tracking.
Information we store
- Account details: your name, work email and role, entered by your company's administrator.
- Photos you upload, with the project, the time of upload and your name as the uploader.
- Photo location: when you allow location access, the place where each photo was taken is saved with it so your project team can see where on the jobsite it was shot. You can decline location access; photos then upload without a location. Photos chosen from your library keep the location stored in the photo, if any.
- Notes you add to an upload.
Camera and photo-library access are used only to take or select photos you choose to upload, and to save photos you explicitly ask to save. The app does not read your library in the background.
Who can see it
Only people in your company, according to their role: field staff see the projects they are assigned to; project managers and administrators see all of the company's projects. A project manager may create a share link to a set of photos; anyone with that link can view those photos until it is revoked or expires. No other company can see your data, and we do not sell or share it with third parties for their own purposes.
Where it is kept
Data is stored with our hosting providers in the United States: account and photo records in a managed Postgres database (Supabase), photo files in Cloudflare R2 object storage, and the application on Vercel. Transfers are encrypted (HTTPS), and photo files are reachable only through short-lived signed links. Photos are kept for as long as your company keeps its account; a photo an administrator deletes is removed from storage within about 30 days.
Your choices
- You can decline camera, photo-library or location permissions in your phone's Settings at any time.
- Delete your account: Settings → Delete account in the app, or Settings → Profile on the web. Your access is removed immediately and permanently. Photos you already uploaded remain part of your company's project record, labelled with your name as uploader, because they document work done for that company; your administrator can delete them.
- Your company's administrator can also correct your details or deactivate your account.
Children
Planmit Photos is a workplace tool for adults and is not directed at children under 13.
